There is not a great deal between them but I would say the q6600 - despite being older it has more cache, higher multiplier (for better overclocks) and higher clock speed. Just remember that since the q6600 is an OEM part you will need a cooler for it. |

I love my q6600 but if your not up for overlcocking and its mainly going to be used for gaming would would go for dual core, but if you want the moon on a stick go for the quad, mines sat here with each core @3.7ghz & still makes me smile lots |
