I like sick list, but I prefer a faster dual core than a "slower" quad. If you wanna have more than 60GB, two WD Caviar Black on RAID0 is a nice option. I dont have one, but people talks quite will of this fan: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpro...7&subcat=4 |

Just one of the ocz has speeds of Read: Up to 230MB/sec Write: Up to 160MB/sec I would get a 2nd one lol, if 60gig isn't enough for your install.. so adding another SSD for RAID 0 & changing the cpu to a Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.16GHz (1333FS - Retail http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpro...=CP-193-IN takes the price to £1,080.89 inc VAT |

I get confused... For the same price of the quad runing at 2.83GHz you can get a dual core at 3.33GHz. That mean the applications wich use only one (or two) cores will run faster with the dual. For gamming, CSS only uses one core (and uses more cpu than gpu), dont know TF2 and L4D uses Source engine. There are very few games using four cores at time. Quad defenders argues it allows user to do more things at time... when I'm gamming, I'm just gamming. |

L4d is muilticore & TF2 becomes muilticore soon too, with css not far behind As you say above you can two extra cores running a bit slower for not much in price difference |

I don't think css even troubles newer kit, but when they move it over to newer version of the engine it will |
