So previously I was using an HP nx9420 laptop and it playes L4D and TF2 perfectly, sadly that went pop and I've now got an HP 6710b laptop and everything is worse than unplayable...meh, work just don't seem to understand my personal needs So...as it's ages since I've dabbled in hardware what would you reccomend for a no effort basic games rig? Obviously the cheaper the better! Stoke me a clipper, I'll be back for Christmas.

Desktop, preferably prebuilt but I don't mind putting a few bits together. £400-£500ish sounds about right to me. I've got all the peripherals. Stoke me a clipper, I'll be back for Christmas.

in that case, I would recommend one of the little PC shops thjat will be somewhere near you. I don't mean your PC world etc, I mean the one off shops that you probably walk past every now and again but never thought to pop your head round the door I built the PC i'm using atm myself, IIRC it cost me about £650. but you could probably get the same thing now for about £500, with a dx 10 card |
