After seeing all the other pics I figured I'll give garry's mod another shot: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y49/...it0000.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y49/...it0001.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y49/...it0002.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y49/...it0004.jpg I'm still not satisfied with the fire though, I couldn't figure out how to make tf2 fire effects (if you can) and the hl2 fire doesn't quite fit. Looks wicked man like the way you can see different bits going on like the pyro nailed to the wall with an axe, and medic grabbing for the heavy lol

You need the Particle Effects tool. This gives you a range of objects from which to spew the flamethrower flame. That's it.

Do you access it from the tool menu? Cause I can't see anything called particle effects tool in there. |

could i spawn a pyro holding his flamethrower, as you would see it ingame? and do you have to download something to get the 'particlesystem controller' |

The models in GMod are the TF2 models. (they look better in GMod than TF2 cause of the Bloom modifiers). In TF2 the models have set animations for each movement. In GMod you have to pose the model by pushing, twisting etc. each of the joints. When you choose a model it just flops to the floor, you have to pose them into positions. The weapon models are seperate. All models will collide with each other. So to pose a pyro with a flamethrower you have to "no collide" the two models with each other. Then you pose the ragdoll (pyro in this case) and then the weapon model where it normally would be. Then you need to fingerpose the hands so that they "grip" weapon model (they aren't really, because you could move the weapon away and the hand would be in the same position). Does that help? |

lol, not really. The one I worked on the most was the scout baseball one, only because I couldn't get the hands the way I wanted (still didn't in the end), all the others took me something between 15 to 30 minutes each, not including the heavy and the sniper that only took like 5 minutes. |
