Here it is, ladies and gentlemen: the Electonic Sports League tf2 playoffs. It basically started as the best 16 teams and has now been whittled down to 8. The normal people are there (4k, fracture, excello, united etc) but notably Pandemic are also playing in it. They're the best american team, and even with 100+ pings have been dishing out some brutal pain. 4k seeded 1, pandemic 2. Today marks the first playoffs, where TLR will be playing Pandemic. Normal shindig, should be 2200CET (9pm gmt methinks), check spectate tab, will be at top etc etc. Looks to be a gg. Fracture were meant to have a match too but they seem to have disbanded (!?) or at least dropped out of the competition. tournament layout: http://www.esl.eu/eu/tf2/ems/season2/.../rankings/ Will update this thread as the tournament continues. |

Can someone have a word with the people that organize these tournaments and get them to stop playing when I have my weekly football match as I keep missing them and would like to watch. |

b-b-b-b-b-b-bumpppppp Tonight: Excello vs Pandemic - http://www.esl.eu/eu/tf2/ems/season2/...h/9621626/ (badlands, gravelpit then decider if needed) Excello is pretty much the second best european team around, and pandemic is the best american one. Will be a vgg. 128-slot SourceTV: 85.236.100.159:27215 PASSWORD: tv |

If it's any consolation, Krakyn, you missed an EPIC game. |

Erm, well I can't paste the links because I don't know how to work this old-skool mac I'm on atm, but there's a link to the demos in the thread in Jem's second post. Pandemic's medic was a sight to behold. He played as though he could see 30 seconds into the future. And xlo on granary was exqually amazing. Their soldier and demo were on such top form it was as if they didn't know how to NOT kill anyone they came across. |

I watched only badlands and gravelbit. But Pandemic ruled most of time and that with ping's over 100+, most over 150+. Truly amazing gameplay from both teams. I think the medic of Pandemic played at his normal Level because he had a "normal" ping instead of the rest of his team. That stupid time relay from the 4k sourcetv was a bit frustrating! You didn't see the last mins of a map. |

Remiu has put the demos up at: http://www.cadred.org/Media/Demos/ Quadtv seem to not have put the match up for replay, might be taking their time or just not doing it. |

Yeah I don't think any of our medics should watch Pandemic on badlands or gravelpit, might embarrass the rest of us. They were ridiculously good at defending him. Whereas on granary, not so much.. edit: btw it was an extremely extremely good game. Well worth a watch, but be warned it was a good 2h30 long. And the stv was very annoying, me and fallen were clueless what happened right after gravelpit lol. Edited by jem58 on 23-06-2008 16:46 |

Well well well... Turns out there are three big ESL matches tonight: Excello vs 4kings (winners bracket) Team uber vs Pandemic (losers bracket) UK vs Finland (nations cup warmup) Three really great prospects, and here's the kicker - they're all at the same time (9 cet, I guess thats 8 engrish time?) :x http://www.cadred.org/News/Article/33...cle/33567/ for more details etc, pwnage.tv are covering pandemic vs uber, quadv may be covering 4k vs xlo. |

tbh, I have a sneaking suspicion that the pandemic game is gonna be better, but I'm quite curious to see what 4kings look like without riemu. |

sup guys Last night I perchance stumbled upon the consolation final of the ems - Pandemic vs Excello, the winner goes onto face 4kings in the final next week. As tf2 is a no-go for me at I had to put up with quadv and idiotic commentary, but it was an amazing game, probably better than the first time they met. Again, it was badlands, gravelpit and pro_granary, with granary going into a golden cap decider. Some really epic games, and probably the best/quickest offence on gpit I've ever seen (you'll know when you see it) Demos: http://www.cadred.org/Media/Demos/?pa...80&letter= If you, for any reason, feel not like just watching the demos, both pwanage.tv and quadv.com covered the game. |
