not in england though. Making a v with your palm facing you is usually an insult to the other person. A less insulting version of the middle finger if you like Only with the palm away means peace over here. The only exception I know of is Churchill's V for victory. But still, seeing that on the shelf in game stores will be funny. |

Never heard of that being an insult, and you are being more pope-ish than the pope, you are right, its not a V-sign. But meh |

UK is one of the only countries in the world (Australia is another) where the V-sign palms-inward is an offensive gesture. |

Quote wolflordandy wrote: Heres the question though, is it insulting to the french? Yes but it nothing to do with the story about longbowmen as that is probably not true. It was a frenchman (François Rabelais) who first documented it in the sixteenth century. I really enjoy QI. Edited by agrippa on 03-06-2009 18:16 |

Qi - if I were gay I would marry Stephen Fry. I am not, therefore I must stay with my wife and the occasional random quadraped for my bedfellows.

We would have won a lot more football matches against them. Just for the hell of it, I put "Where would Britain be without France?" into Google and this was the first link. |

I remembered it being on Qi and that the longbowman thing was wrong, but couldn't remember what had been said. Need to dig out my Qi book, with four words by Alan Davies! |

An interview about l4d2 and sdk stuff http://www.shackn....x?id=1138 Also it is confirmed that L4D2 will be full retail price. Quote Shack: What price-point should we expect? Doug Lombardi: This is a full sequel. Shack: So full price? Doug Lombardi: Yeah. At the end of the day, this is going to be a bigger game than Left 4 Dead. It's five campaigns versus four, all five are playable in Versus mode, Survival mode out of the box, the new multiplayer game mode. Plus over 20 new weapons and items. It's a full sequel. |

I'll only get it in some really cheap deal, like 75% off or something. I WOULD say that I payed full price for the first one, but the truth is I preordered it off play.com for about £20. Edited by Mike on 04-06-2009 21:57 |
