Yeah but when you're taking hits the regen rate won't save you, and once your partner disposed of the threat he'll walk you to a medkit anyway. It can come in handy on some maps where medkits aren't in your path like yukon or turbine, but on most maps where they're close by most of the time so it's not really a big deal. |

partners walking back to med kit should be last resort, it disrupts flow having to go for med pack and increases chance medic will die if position of enemy is not exactly known. Med packs seem to be good places for scouts to patrol I would rather tap into enemy hp with needles if I can or regen hp on the move if I'm close to or plus 100 hp (sometimes I do fly a bit by seat of pants and have been sub 50 and carried on due to positional advantage we have had at time) Edited by sick-lizard on 16-09-2009 18:21 |

There's also the fact that bloody little scouts (and a lot of other people for that matter) steal the health pack from you even though you've started healing them Personally I'll probably switch to the needle gun because it seems like it'll be a lot more useful now, although the bluts regen is still more than before (1-4 rather than 1-3) so we'll see. I expect I'll give both a go and see which works out better. |

We are talking about comp play, where this shouldn't happen. But then again, this is the Ci clan, where I still play halfway through the match without noticing that the mute button on my mic is on and my yelling is futile. Oh well, back to my cell In pub play I for one cannot decide. Usually, when I pull out my gun, I have to be really fucked. I prefer the Ubersaw in lots of situation over Syringe gun. |

I know you're talking about comp, I'm the only person I've ever seen escort a medic to a healthpack in the pub server In comp I'd say needle gun is even more likely to be good, but I haven't actually played comp so that view is purely based on public medic play with people who realise they have to actually help protect the medic rather than purely have the medic protect them (it makes medic so much more enjoyable with people like that, rather than the ones who just bitch at you for not healing them after they ignore anyone attacking you ) |

I enjoyed distributing sandviches to needy people on the pub tonight Although at one point my medic was at like 20 hp.. and on fire.. and I dropped the sandvich..and told him he should take it.. and he just stared at it... maybe he was a vegetarian? |

bloody update, I knew i was hitting that button http://etf2l.org/forum/general/topic-...post-98684 Quote Last patch brought a nice bug. If you have the "remember the active weapon between lives." option turned on. Then in certain situations your uber wont trigger. If you finish a round with your medigun out, respawn, get uber, click, then it wont trigger. This happens if you dont switch to another weapon during the time from spawning to getting an uber. Pretty funny when my team wants to push and ends up with me mashing mouse2 while screaming |

Happened to me as well, he just looked at it, then at me and did nothing even though he was critical. As for needles, after some playing with the normal gun I've decided to go back to the blut, the regen isn't significant enough and I died a lot in situations where the blut would've saved me. |

Never really cared for that option, pressing q on the way to the spawn door never seemed like such a task. |
