Dear Mike, The item was tested by our Okobe Tech Team. The testing deemed the motherboard not to be faulty and it has now been sent to the manufacturer for further testing. The manufacturer will carry out more in-depth testing to determine whether there is a specific fault with the card. However, the Okobe Returns Department on this occasion have still issued you with a refund for the item. You will be issued with a refund within 2 working days. It may take your bank 5-7 working days to process the refund request. Please don't hesitate to contact me again if you have any further questions or queries. Absolute bollocks - but THANK GOD...see you next month... |

This is why I prefer Ebuyer. They don't bother actually checking if it works when you send it back. If you say it's broken, they'll just give you a refund as soon as you contact them. I presume they just chuck it out.

I have learnt my lesson - I am off to Novatech...they have always been good in the past...it was only because this place was so cheap and I was pissed off with Overclock.co.uk... ...just need the money refunded now...so about 5 working days on the shit UK system - which means next weekend I shall drive over and get a Gigabyte board... |

Ok, new motherboard installed. Same random rebooting again. With the help of my brother we swapped out the RAM, Graphics card, PSU, hard disk and even the CPU fan. Still random reboots. Finally, installed my old 3GHz Pentium...absolutely no problem. The only thing that could be causing the problem - the one I had hoped it wouldn't be - was the 6600. I am so pissed. I have spend so much more than I had hoped trying to upgrade that I am on vapours next month and a wife complaining more than usual! So back the CPU goes and tomorrow I shall install everything using my old CPU. If I manage to get the CPU RMA'd and a new one I can then just swap the CPUs, but have everything up and ready. ...I AM SO PISSED... |

No, it seems that it's all about a dud CPU. And that's why I am so pissed - I've spent so much time with 3 seperate boards!
