Ok, thanks for coming I really like that you helped me on this. Although I would like a proper playtest on a proper server some time. Bug/exploit finding works fine with few players, but no real gameplay testing is possible. sorry couldnt make it ace, would liked to have tried it but the sas game got re-arranged to today. Can you set it up for another day? or have u got enough feed back? if not, ask free or sick to put an event in steam then people will get a reminder.

Ok fixed my problem. You need to rename the file from " cp sunburst alpha" to " cp_sunburst_alpha". You need the underlines otherwise steam couldn't find the map file! Edited by Armacoast on 11-03-2008 22:18 |

Thanks for testing! Stage 3 is basically done now. Just need to add a little eye candy on a few places that look dull, but that's something I will do when I got all 3 stages done. I'm working on the design of stage 2 at the moment. I'm lacking ideas, but I'll think of something sooner or later The whole place has to be there for a reason. (Something many maps lack, is the realism) The first stage will be a coal mining area, and a Power plant I think I'll make the design similar to gravel pit. The second stage will be some semi-hightech Nuclear power plant. I still haven't decided if you're going to be inside the power plant, or just see it. The design will be kinda like dustbowl stage 3. The third stage is another coal mine. The design is like a mix between dustbowl and badlands. |

When I think of tf2, realism doesnt really come to mind I suppose you could try and rocketjump in real life, it just might be rather bloody. |

It has to be a good balance between reality and surrealism. A realistic setting makes a good balance when the gameplay is surrealistic Edit: The alpha 3 testing has been delayed. I'm currently suffering of lack of creativity, and when that happens, the worst thing you could do is map. I avoid mapping at these moments, because I don't want to make a bad map The progress is rather slow, I'm trying to make stage 2 at the moment. Also, I've added minor eye-candy to stage 3.
