Aren't most of those 3 courses in Dundee as well meser? About the only thing this place is good for is IT and Law (they get lots of practice with the locals in the courts) |

I did Foundation Degree in Fine Art and Design and then BA in Textile Construction. Now what do I do - Muppet for BT Looking at possibly going back to uni and doing BA in Graphics/Fine Art since that was a strong point. Don't limit yourself. Look at doing something that keeps your options open. Graphics - alot of computer based work and CAD too. You can get a specialist area too. Or look into teaching. If you go specifically for Games Design you're limiting in what you can use your degree towards. |

You dont have to be able to draw... sometimes you can just write, and get an artist. Or sometimes you can do like cyrnide and happiness, little gamers, etc. Tho if engi did his own avatar, i'd say he can probably draw. |

Thats right two of the courses are at Dundee and the other is West Scotland, and another in Wales http://www.skillset.org/games/accredi...editation/if it had to be any of those I would choose that one <a href="http://www.glam.ac.uk/cours...5/706 if I get in its in Computer animation not based on computer games but its recognised by the Gaming industry. Im still researching though, thanks for the advice Say thats what the career advice from skillset said would be a more beneficial way of choosing other degrees to go for if the unaccredited ones are unavailable. I definatley have to look into this. If engie is having writers block and just an excuse to look at peoples creative pieces may be we could setup another thread to veiw each others work for some constructive criticism or help on any issues and problems. We got Naughtyme on the forum who is one creative bastard and im sure alot of others can give great advice too and I wanna see some of Says pieces . I know I would find it useful for feedback on certain projects Edited by MESER on 07-09-2008 13:33 |
