Lately I've been avoiding some games because I don't want securom and all that other bullshit on my computer. Some of them are available on steam so my question is does a game downloaded through steam still has the DRM on it or does it just rely on steam connection to work? |

If a game on steam has DRM attached it'll say on its product page on the steam website. Such as GTA4: http://store.steampowered.com/app/12210/ You can see on the right hand side: "3rd party DRM". Securom really isn't as bad as it was. Most games that use it now only use it for activation when you install the game. When I installed GTA4 it was like "Installing SecuROM...done", and I've never heard from it or seen it since. Worst case scenario, it'll stop your game working for some reason, but that only happens to a tiny percentage of people now and there are ways around it. |

Steam is usually the DRM for Steam games.
