Quote BT is to invest £1.5bn in fibre optic cables, giving up to 10 million UK households access to faster broadband. However, the communications group has made clear it will only make the move if regulator Ofcom allows it to get a decent return on that investment. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7...506742.stm im poor though Edited by Masson on 15-07-2008 16:18 |

Even though it's faster, wouldn't fibre optic broadband be more....unstable? (I.E : Easier to break?) Quote "It looks as though this could be the moment broadband enthusiasts have been crying out for" Last I checked they were crying about Phorm... Edited by Mike on 15-07-2008 19:45 |

ok got updates in work. they're rolling out the fibre optics by 2012 to 10 million homes. Then depending on demand they will decide on wether to roll it out further. So it's going to reach 40% of the lucky bastards and the rest will have to wait |
