Some ideas of new TF2 gamemodes

Hello After the Payload gamemode was released, I started thinking what more gamemodes you could have in TF2. Here are some of my ideas: Onslaught: (ons) (Push) Like the Unreal tournament series; You have a Core which you need to protect from being destroyed by the enemy. The map have several nodes (Control points) which you need to capture to make a node-chain to the enemy's core before you can damage it. One problem with this gamemode is that you can't have more than 8 control points in a map. It wouldn't be so hard to make, since half the map just needs to be mirrored. Double Infiltration: (di) (Semi Push) Both teams have a hole in a wall deep in their base where the opposite team have to rocket/stickyjump into to score. This shouldn't make too many stalemates since the area where everyone can move is quite free. (ie, both teams aren't fighting about the same target) Same as above, half the map would be mirrored and retextured, easy to make. Single Infiltration: (si) (Attack/Defend) Same as Double Infiltration, but one team defends, and the other attacks. Progressive Control Point: (pcp) (Attack/Defend) This will be like one stage of dustbowl; one team defends, one team attacks. However, this will be in a larger scale with 5 control points, and a little story. Some objectives might be to blow up a wall, or pull a lever to progress. This would take alot of time and effort to make, but would probably be really fun in the end. Balls Of Steel: (bos) :rol: (Semi Push) Both teams have a ball that they need to roll into the enemy base. The first team to roll it into the enemy base gets one point. Problems here would probably be the ball and the map. The map needs to be perfect so the ball won't get stuck anywhere. And the ball needs to be a custom model, since brush-based physics usually don't go well in multiplayer. Making it shouldn't be that hard. Mirror layout. I loved Onslaught from Unreal tournament! it would be great if we got that as game mode |

I have already played a map like Balls of Steel, used a table as a ball you shot it about till you scored then a flag would be dropped centrally so you could get a point. Map was laid out like a football pitch and called Junk Soccer. Have a look for it and see what you think I found it loads of fun as a piss about before some proper play |
