UK - London area - places to go
Radoo
Hi,

In July, before the Olympics, I planned a visit to London (hopefully there won't be any events to cancel my visit). What shouldn't I miss?

I already have a few ideas:
(I'm interested more on these kind of places)
- Legoland Windsor
- BBC Radio 1
- Harrods
- Greenwich
(classics)
- Buckingham Palace
- Guards changing
- The Big Ben, Tower Bridge
- Piccadilly circus
- Millenium Wheel
- Trafalgar Square
- some other stuff from this map http://makkamappa.com/system/maps/452...London.jpg

So, what shouldn't I miss?

If anyone will be around, I think I can make some time in the weekend for a chat and a couple of beers. Party

Greenwich museum is great; took my son there. Science museum is almost a must, and round the corner is the famous Natural History Museum.

If you're into art etc. then the Victoria and Albert museum or the Tate Modern.

Honestly London is full of free museums and nearly all of them are large and a days visit.

Personally Trafalgar Square is a bit meh, but it may be because I spent a large part of last year making weekly trips through it from two offices.

Let us know what type of stuff you're into, perhaps narrow down your options?

...wait....I'm being too polite...I meant fuck you.

if your going to travel a lot by public transport in London grab an Oyster card they can be obtained & topped up from shops, underground stations etc, they make using the buses & tube a lot easier & save money Smile Camden Lock & Borough Market are worth a lunchtime visit for food Grin

Thanks for all the info, guys. Smile

I'll be in UK next week, staying at some friends in Guildford. Seems to me that Spacey, Undead and Agrippa are closer to where I'm staying.

If anyone's up for a short meeting near London, let me know. Party

ETA less than a day, thanks again for the info.

I saw the weather forecast doesn't bring any good news. But, again, the forecasts in UK are impossible. Giggle (sick why's this emoticon blinking?)
