I think with the retail version it has to be the GOTY edition as you get a certificated with the key on it

Played the demo and I got to say I'm disappointed . I knew about the 2 weapons limit and regenerating health, but I didn't expect it to be that bad. The health in particular, I think the only game I played with a smaller health bar was Operation Flashpoint where you died in 2-3 hits. You basically die if you stand in the open for more than 5 seconds. They removed everything that made 90s shooters awesome, tons of guns with tons of ammo, the ability to run into a room guns blazing without having to duck behind cover every two seconds. Had to take a break after 10 minutes as the FOV (capped at 70) gave me a headache, on my screen his fists look as if they're positioned against his cheeks and when you look down you're almost kissing the floor. As Tom said, the health regen and weapon limit is very silly, especially since the game tries to get you to switch weapons every now and then. Boss fights were too easy and the visuals are a bit 2006. On top of that, the dialogue isn't particularly funny either. Oh well. Sam, don't disappoint me. Edited by Mike on 03-06-2011 20:39 |
