L4D server browser + extra stuff
Mr G
ok so lobby is good for meeting with friends and the like , but sometimes ya want a certain map / style of play also ping can be a issue.

You can use a the openserverbrowser command in the console and even bind a key for it.

Or you can edit the mainmenu.txt file and include a click able menu button.

Also if you head to Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\media and open StartupVids.txt and remove the two lines of code (make a copy if want beforehand) and no more vids when ya startup good tip if you crash alittle and want to relaunch the game faster :)

Also the Z and X key radial menu system can be added to another key and add custom functions you might want.

That's one of the main issues I have with L4D, awesome find man.

I personally wouldn't mind if the whole lobby system got removed. I can't set my server to 24/7 VS because people can change the way the server runs via vote, which can usually fuck things up.
Not to mention it takes away the whole individuality of having a server.

I already use the server browser for all my games. That radial thing's quite cool though.

Yeah, but it doesn't work 100% of the time.

Or you can just add the "novid" command to the launch options for L4D in Steam.
What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about?
