Does anyone know any good software for ripping a DVD onto a harddrive.

It is - but some DVDs cannot be decoded properly. DVDFab is useful for those situations.

Also I found alot of those DVD shrink and decrypter only work with nero if your planning to back them up too |

I vote dvdshrink have yet to have hassle with it and exteeeeeeemly easy to use... hell i think my technophobe flat mate could figure it out without getting a virus! |

If you want to burn them again without losing quality then use DVD decrypter. I had 3 months free with lovefilm (I originally had a fortnight trial, I quit then they sent me 3 months ) and ripped most of the DVD's I got, and as a result my hard drives are weaping.
