step #1: download firefox 3
step #2:
type: "about:config" into your browser
lol at their sense of humor. accept it.

now search in the filter: "pipe"
change all 3 choices to true and the number 4 to 8

now search in the filter: "conn"
30 to 48
15 to 24
8 to 16
6 to 8

now close everything and restart firefox. proceed to style the intrawebs with your speed.

it works... i am flying through teh intrawebz!

What do all these changes do (in laymans?)

pretty much. allow your pc to take more connections or whatever per unit time... thus meaning it is faster

The only thing is it uses more bandwidth from the server side of things.
So, those sites that the makers pay for themselves (especially the small sites) get a bit pee'd off.
