Due to my gf being very nice & agreeing to sponsor me should I run out of funds at the end of the month I have just ordered. OCZ 4GB (2x2G  PC2-8000C5 1000MHz ReaperX HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Edition Dual Channel DDR2 (OCZ2RPX10004GK)Asus P5E Intel X38 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard Thermalright Ultra-120A CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/LGA775) Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FS - OEMhopefully city link permitting they should arrive tommorrow  & thanks for Fuzz for lending a gfx card until I can add a suitible one in about a month! |

Nice, that processor is a beast I got a 8800GT from overclockers for around £115, was a one week offer though  vista x64 or XP pro x64? I went for Vista, runs perfectly for me. BTW there are no plans for a service pack for XP x64 :no:  |

well it all went well, running at 8 x 450fsb = 3.6ghz, 30 - 32oC idle, load 53oC, feels like night & day compared to running 1 x 32bit core @2.4ghz lol |
