Once again, my ping in TF2 has gone stupid, and I can't play... When I have tf2 open, nothing else is downloading... and no other programs open in background. My CSS ping isn't a problem, but TF2 is unplayable   Any ideas on what could be causing this? I have defragmented and verified integrity of game cache (which seemed to fix it last time, but not this time). HELP  |

my ping also goes up sometimes, but thats because TF2 is "redownloading all light maps" :no:

Is it spiking or constant high pings? What OS are you using? |

fixed it for now... not sure how though. was constantly high ping on vista |

Have you checked what rates you're using? Type the following individually into your console and let me know what they're set as, and also, let me know what connection you're on (as in bandwidth up/down) rate cl_cmdrate cl_updaterate cl_interp  |

i don't think it is anything like that, because most of the time tf2 works absolutely fine and my ping is about 35-40. i think my rates are the same as CSS : 30000, 100, 100, 0.01 |
