Good style, but not much of a looker would be first impression. At least compared to crysis and far cry 2, both of which looked rather more polished. Engine showing it's age maybe? Might be one of the game buys of the month if it's coming out now (together with fallout 3, far cry 2.. ). |

Yeah, but those two need the computing force of China in order to look that good and not all of us peasants can afford that. Not to mention that while it looked good Crisis was still boring as hell. L4D might not have the shiniest graphics but at least it looks fun. |

I second tomregev's comments (despite being a bastard to spell). Would you rather have people to play with - or just play with yourself? I'm a wanker, but I'd still prefer to play with other people. W:ET and CS are played by far more people than newer titles (look at Unreal Tournament) - purely because they can be played on the majority of machines. So far L4D delivers bit of a "meh" vibe for me, just a Half Life 2 with zombies. Valve's got a deserved reputation for quality so wait and see, but it's not an automatic buy (that'd be Fallout 3 for this month). |

When on HL2 were you absolutely swarmed by different types of enemies having to break your way through? Even the antlion levels only had like 7-8 antlions at any given time. This doesn't compare to HL on any level. |

If each has to stick with their own weapon I'll be playing the girl, I have a thing for dual pistols  Also debating buying fallout 3, only heard good things about it so far, someone give me a reason to buy it. I'm mainly put off because I hated stalker and the scenario is the same. Stalker had the annoying thing where enemies could take 2 barrels of a shotgun and not die whereas you got killed in one hit. |
