I've installed Origin. It's not that bad, but it could be improved. I can't add any old DVD games like Spore or C&C 3, even though they sell their digital counterparts. The only game I could add was the NFS HP I got from Steam. |

Yeah but they can always change it back , EA and ubisoft are two of my least company's that i would trust always think twice or not at all in owning a game from them.

If they want to get your data, they will, with or without the EULA. Also, EULAs have an interesting way to discharge any responsibility from the service/game provider. As you read EULAs you will realize that either you want to play the game and you play it and give the publisher access to some marketing data, or you don't play the game. Have you read Blizzard's EULA for Battle.Net?

If they want to get my data, with or without the EULA then they will be breaking a contract = possibility for class action. It's not likely to happen. I know what the EULA says and it has been updated since the earlier textual debacle that they had in place. The current EULA is now very similar to STEAM and, goddamn it, Microsoft's. Have you updated your stance? What is unpalatable is that there is no "opt out", which Steam DOES have. No opt out? Everything has an opt out as long as you are in EU. There's an EU legislation that says that EU citizens have the right to have their account and personal data erased from a service provider. It's the law... So if you want to opt out, you can, you just have to send them an well written e-mail. Recently I've quit World of Tanks and I've sent them an email to delete my account and all the personal information. I was asked why I would want to quit, and after I gave them another reply they said my account will be permanently deleted in a couple of months (can't remember exactly). I still had that period to change my mind. Anyway, the idea is that if you want your personal data out of a service, you can. They will save everything related to your actions as a service client I guess, but without having the identity of the one generating the data. |

I got into the beta today (because I was a total idiot and bought Medal of Honor on release), and I have given it a good hour of play. I must say that I am VERY suprised. I thought it was going to be worse than it was. They have created a game with so much better flow than BC2, shorter games than BF2 and a hitscan system that isn't totally fucking horrible. So far I am really enjoying it. I hope I get to play it alot more tomorrow.  |

So whos playing this? I've got Origin and Battlelog accounts as wolflordandy. I've been playing with Mike, Fionny and Locke and having great fun. About 12 of us Digital Legion on each night Also, Capian Border is EPIC. If you like the mix of BC2 and BF2 in Metro, wait till you get to play with tanks and really destructable buildings! |
