You upgraded/downgraded any drivers recently? Disabled antivirus and/or firewall? What happens if you try to run it in windowed mode? (-window in launch options) Edited by Mike on 25-11-2008 01:14 |

Windows XP, I don't really do anything about drivers and such and I always play tf2 without firewall. |

Bumping Doublepost, the -window worked with HL2, now I'm going to try windowmode with TF2. Is there any way to use 2 commands of that kind at once? For instance -novid and -window at the same time? Arsewaffles, -window doesn't work with TF2. Is there any other shiny command for TF2? Code Download source C:\Programme\Steam\Steam.exe -applaunch 440 -window This is how it looks like.. e_e Edited by Rofl teh cake on 25-11-2008 15:36 |

you can stack loads of startup cmds as long as the have a space between em example of stackage this is the cmd to start up the tf2 pub -console -game tf -port 27019 -rcon_port 27019 +ip 82.138.243.151 +map cp_dustbowl +servercfgfile server_pro.cfg -heapsize 512000 -tickrate 66 +fps_max 600 +sv_pure 2 +maxplayers 32 -nocrashdialog |

It works now, I have to start the game in window mode, but I can change it to fullview after it has fully loaded up. Thanks alot you guys, great help has been found here. Is 1 space enough or can use more? Put ~3 spaces between every command, -novid -windowed. |

I think you can set L4D in windowed and borderless window mode in the options if he can get that far ( I was trying to use it to play split screen over 2 monitors ) |

http://developer....ne_Options In the steam game tab, go to properties of e.g. TF2, then in the properties tab of this there is a button for "Set Launch Options" I have -novid -high -heapsize 1024000 |

-high i would avoid and maybe use -above normal, it can crash more if you have system on edge & be harder to recover system as crashed app has same priority as task manager etc |
