Even though I still don't care much for hats, it's cool that Valve rewarded all the people who didn't idle.

I agree with this post made by someone I don't know...whole heartedly TACD posted: The entire episode is such a laughable farce. The initial idea of allowing players to customise their characters RPG-style in an FPS, the ridiculous drop system entirely dissociated from player actions, the (understandable) mass gaming of the system by players in order to try to attain these mathematically improbable items. Fanning the flames of outrage by sneakily releasing a limited-edition cosmetic addition, available to a lucky few; the taunting of the playerbase by the developers by releasing an update partially based on yet more nigh-unattainable, useless cosmetic junk. A second round of taunting by scolding those players who'd tried to maximise their luck in a skill-less game, and simultaneously granting the very object of these players' desire to everybody who hadn't cared enough to look for workarounds. And all the time, the empty promises of trading, crafting, and unknown game mechanics to make the new system less useless for its own sake, but not any more useful to the core game itself. Did I miss anything? I know none of this is news to anybody, but I think it's worth taking in as the completely ludicrous episode it really has been. Nothing about this new system has been thought through, and no decision seems to have been made wisely. I have a halo hat thingy!  It looks quite cool with the soldier as he wears it without his usual helmet  .. I guess it'll be the commonest hat in the game now, but it still looks nice I wonder if I'll be able to trade it later to people who were using the idling programme? |

I am poor and Irish as I started (Batters helmet sucks poo). For some reason my axtinguisher got taken away which I earned legitimately! My Dead Ringer - eet eees gone, but I think I did idle for that, oh well. Easy come, easy go!
