Anyone got an interesting swanky mousemat? Or "high performance mousing surface" if you prefer I've currently got a Razer Exactmat but I've had some slight problems with getting a tiny sheen of sweat on it and losing all control of my mouse This is getting more and more irritating as I randomly lose control on occasion 2-3 times or more during a match and either have to hide in a corner or end up dead as I frantically make sure my mousemat is pristine again! :< As I've had my current mat for quite a long time and it's a bit worn down I'm thinking of getting a new mat to see if this fixes the problem. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has gone down the "premium mouse to cursor movement delivery system" route and if anyone has any reviews/recommendations regarding mats they've used It's more than possible that I might end up getting a new mouse too... given that I'm thinking about all this business so views on those little chuffers would be warmly appreciated too! (I've currently got a Razer Diamondback). |

Well I just use a cheap pad from office depot with a jell wrist rest that I have to place a folded piece of paper under so I get enough height, so don't think I can help you much. As for a new mouse, I love my deathadder but it's pretty different from the diamondback in shape and size so you I don't know if you'll like it. Might want to try the diamondback 3g, it's pretty much the like the diamondback only with similar specs to the deathadder. Edited by tomregev on 04-08-2009 14:40 |

No, get a deathadder. In anarchy red. Join my club. As a mousepad, I got a Roccat Sense Adrenaline blue, it doesn't move at all and I don't have any complaints. So yeah. |

I've got a Deathadder and Exactmat Xcontrol. It does get a bit sweaty at times but I find it doesn't affect the courser side of the mat so much. |

I thought you had a copperhead. Also as far as I know the deathadder only comes in blue and white. Edited by tomregev on 04-08-2009 14:44 |

Yeah, that did strike me as likely..but I just can't stand using the control side :< It's too damn course for me! It may just be the case that sweat will be a problem with any hard smooth mousing surface... which would be annoying as they're the only type I like :< I did find an awesome review of the Deathadder but it's like 2.5 years old so I dunno how it stacks up against the Lachesis, Mamba (which to be honest I'm a bit suspicious about due to it being both wireless and SOOO expensive) and the G9. In terms of mats I was thinking about maybe the Destructor or Steelseries SX... or you know... whatever |

Well most opinions I read about the lachesis mentioned skipping issues and it being uncomfortable, as for the mamba it might be good but it also costs more than twice as the deathadder. |

I do have a copperhead. :-D I would've got the lachesis, but decided to give the copperhead ago, which actually hasn't disappointed me yet, unlike the old Krait. And Mamba... are you crazy? Thats like 150€ for a mouse, that's 2 months of being a good boy to me. And are you really ready to pay 50€ for a pad? I mean, if you've got the money, sure, go for it, but I, for one, find it a bit ludicrous Edited by Rofl teh cake on 04-08-2009 17:44 |

I have the green one: http://www.noidpad.com/?Var38=shop/li...&Var300=98 Hardpads suck arse in my opinion. Too uncomfortable and prone to sweat drops! Edited by NaughtyMe on 04-08-2009 18:43 |

I don't get on with the shape of the razer's I've so far tried & fell in love with the logitech g5 have old & new versions loving them both mice mats I switch between a huge soft everglide titan(stupidly got a bright yellow fnatic monster mat which needs washing every 3 months), I also have the smaller titan but for me it seems just to small an area to play on & a hard radpadz gs(nearly 5 years old so going bald) thinking about replacing it with a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpro...32&subcat= SteelSeries S&S I also sometimes get really sweaty hands when playing so have some french chalk near by just in case Edited by sick-lizard on 04-08-2009 19:34 |

I'm using this atm http://www.roccat.org/Products/Gaming...CCAT-Kone/ which i say is better than the Deathadder i used before. well made, nice in the hand, weights, customizable lights (if ya like that stuff) really good solid drivers. I also have one of these i won in a competition http://www.raptor-gaming.com/raptor/r...kte/M3.htm still in packet I need a new pad also, have so far looked at this with interest http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpro...=GS-011-RA as i dont have a lot of space my keyboard could overlap a bit.
