Advanced DHTML Enable?
Rofl teh cake
Hello guys, this question is software related.
I found this thing in called "Advanced DHTML Enable" in my Start up/autostart stuff. It was located on c://msv2008, which is my main drive. After googling it, the first page castlecops said it's a virus and that's why I deleted it from my startup...so, I wanted to ask:
Did I do right? Was it something useful? If yes, did I do very wrong?

Edit: Just found out I didn't delete, I just stopped it from starting when my computer starts. But I can't delete it after rightclicking and then clicking on delete, it said "Access denied". Halp nao?

Jesus Christ Rofl, you're on the way to losing your Steam account again!

Get your firewall set to block all.

Run:

Hijackthis
Spybot
Adaware - full scan
Viruschecker - full scan

I don't know where you're going for your porn - should have stuck to Redtube!

I ran today Antivir and Spybot, gonna do the other stuff you mentioned maybe tommorow. I don't know why, but today I found 5 virus with antivir (Checked the whole pc some days ago already, very strange) and about 99 problems with Spybot (I hiphop'd), of which 2 or 3 were trojans and the rest "nothing serious" I'd say. Meh. weep

What's the actual filename? Am I right in guessing that msv2008 is Visual Studio?

Dunno, but I can't delete it, I have never installed anything like Visual studios and it ends with exe.

format your hd.. if you have a rootkit on there you are fucked, no amount of trying to clean up the mess is going to work as the anti virus apps will never be "allowed" to see the root kit

Visual studios gets installed with ATi Graphics drivers
if only i had something funny or clever to put here........

Mr G
Reformat.

Its the only true way to be sure, and if you burn and backup to CD/DVD/USB pen drive/another HD then copy it scan it remove it reinstall and scan it stright away before copying it back it could be infected on copy commands.

Also power down before reformating as virus can stay in memory etc.

Kernel rootkits can be especially difficult to detect and remove because they operate at the same level as the operating system itself, and are thus able to intercept or subvert any operation made by the operating system. Any software, such antivirus software, running on the comprised system is equally easily subverted. In a situation such as this, the whole system can no longer be trusted while is running. One response in such a case is to perform system offline analysis from a second 'trusted' system by mounting the hard drive of the infected system as a secondary resource without executing anything on the untrusted volume, while another is to format the disk and re-install from trusted media. Lastly, a (known good) operating system can be booted from read-only removable media such as a CD-ROM. Investigation and rootkit removal actions can then be performed safely in trusted system without requiring another computer system. So called live CDs booting into read-only OS installation are useful for such tasks. Read-write media like HDD or USB Flash to boot systems while removing rootkits is dangerous due to chances that rootkit may affect this OS installation as well.

That must be a lot then lol, I have or had about 40 gigs, everything somebody could wish for. From Shemale to HeFemale, Young till very old, oh god, I'm going to miss all of it. X(

Alright, I made myself a folder in which I put everything I want to keep, its about 13,6 GB big and mainly music or pictures and no porn, no games, no anything else. Now I'm letting spybot and Antivir run over it, to check for bad things. Do I have to copy them or can I just drag and drop the originals on my stick/exHd?
