 HL2/TF2 trippin balls....HELP :(

Hey guys, I have a serious problem. Today, I started TF2, but when I reached the loading screen, where the medic is holding his medigun and several other classes are standing around him. This the part where it goes crazy. First of all, I get sent back to the desktop, still seeing that it's still in my taskbar, the thing on the bottom of the screen. When I click on it, it opens itself again and the whole screen becomes black. But then I find myself again on the desktop and then it opens itself again. everything black, then sending me back to my desktop and so on, there is no end. Please give me some advices, I can't find anything. And yes, I tried restarting and I tried it with other source games, for example HL2 Ep2. I get the same problem. halp nao, it's like somebody is controlling my pc and wants to see me raging ;_____; |

make sure you have a desktop shortcut to launch tf2 and right click on the shortcut goto the properties menu & on the first tab/page add -novid to the end of the target line so it reads something like Code Download source "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 440 -novid I hope this solves the issue for you :) |

O yeah, used to do that to me all the time. When I took -novid out of the launch options, it solved the problem for me lol |

Not for me, it made the intro disappear, but I still get kicked out of the game, while being in the loading screen, finding myself on desktop. Then it pops up again -> Desktop -> Pops up again -> desktop. RINSE AND REPEAT T_T.

ooo nasty sounding, in the games menu in steam, right click properties goto local files tab & verify integrity of local game cache..if that fails check some other 3d progs out, to see if the issue is unrelated to the game  |

Failing that, backup all the .vdf files and your custom .cfg files, and just reinstall steam  Only take a few mins |

fuck lol. Might be I screwed up big time during deinstallation, because I left steam running while doing so.....now it's (somehow) gone and now I dl'ed it again and started it installing again. Didn't do any backups, because I don't really play any singleplayer games with gamesaves or any superspecial skins or sprays and so on. If it works again, I'll have to download every single fuckin custom map.....again.

Reformat? Ah fuck no, too much porn to save, no external drive and my bro is also using the pc. I might get raped. Read the edit in my upper post, I did a ... semi-raven? And I don't remember anything what I couldve done to screw up my tf2. It just...happened today. It's like I have steamaids. SIV-positive to aids. I'm dying. EDIT: Reinstalled, tried peggle extreme, which took me about 2 seconds to install. It works fine, it just sent me to desktop once, but I was able to click and get back to it. De and Reinstalling didn't work, it seems that I have no choice but to get some steam support as long as you guys don't have any advices for me anymore to follow. Means: No TF2 for me for the next days/weeks/months. Dickbarreled shitstain piece of nutriding asswrangling cockmouthed wall of faggotfruit-fuck. Thanks alot to you two, at least you tried.  |
