"This was the first server I played in tf2 and I've hardly played any others, and I've made some great friends here so I think it will be very difficult to find somewhere else I enjoy playing as much -- especially for such a ludicrous reason. Anyway, it's free's clan and free's server so I have to respect his decision. I'm no longer a member of [Ci] and I don't think I will be welcome on the server any more. Plain and simple I hate the way people find it easy to use certain words on the Internet that they would nt use in normal day to day living. Having explain this to mega hes said he did nt see the same point of view. So to this en pass ive asked mega to leave the clan / forums / server. WHAT THE FUCK. :rip: Seems crazy to have to de-clan someone over something like this, especially someone thats been playing the server as long as mega has :/ Sure, people throwing around 'gay' (I presume this was the culprit) annoy me too, but he's always had a sharp wit thats borderline offensive, I thought we'd all gotten used to it by now  Really sorry to lose you :'( |

we are also talking about an ed match here, if the other clan had seen that and made a complaint backed up by demo, I'm not sure where it would go. Free tried to discuss the matter with Mega but its seems it was pointless We have always had a zero tolarance with regard to Racism this the first time we have had an issue with a clan member, if a resolution could have reached it would have :rol: Yeah I agree the word gay is over & mis used & rest assured if notice frequent offenders i will kick em  To be honest Tf2 is a pleasure to admin compared to CSS Source as there a lot less abusive dickheads about in the game or if there are they are a dam site quieter!  milewinkgrin:For reference decisions like that Free & I, consult each other for sanity checking milewinkgrin:

I did not see the incident itself (too busy dying) but I have sufficient respect for Sick and Free to agree with their decision. On the pub server is bad enough but during a match where all Ci members reputations are on the line? i like Mega but he only has himself to blame. |

Yep its really harsh thing to do and belive you and me its not something I wanted to do, but I treat everyone with the same respect they give out and if anyone cant see whats wrong with using the word nigger to express themselfs in any way they are not going to find a welcome face here.

Using the word gay to say something is shite/isn't to your liking/whatsoever is just wrong in every way. I know a few people who are gay, even some people at work who are gay and these are generally nice and friendly people. Much more friendly than the average joe walking down the street. Were talking on the server about it a day or two back. I said using the word gay as a swear word is demeaning to gay people, got a reply that I implied that being gay is demeaning after which I just shut up. No use talking to such people. See, much as I agree, that's a bit of a generalisation. 2 of my flatmates are lesbians, and they actually use the word "gay" in a derogatory fashion on a more regular basis than anyone else I know  However, I still agree that it shouldn't be used, as the majority will find it offensive. |

I liked Mega a lot, its a shame he couldn't have apologized to clear this up. Going back to the "gay" thing my nephew (10yrs)is one of the cool kids at school and everything and everyone is "gay" at the mo. if only i had something funny or clever to put here........
