Full CGI - a work of art
NaughtyMe
Take a peaceful Sunday 10 minutes to watch this stunning video of a full CGI render completed by a talented young man. It has no TF2, no headshots, no explosions. Some might find it boring, it focuses on architecture (incidentally most of the buildings are real). I wish I could even find the time to be this talented.

Approximate guesses on render time from those who decide to watch (I don't know)?

no idea how long such a thing would take to make, but if he didn't do it because of a job, or to get himself a job the man is a fool.

Perhaps, but then why do people paint or draw? Practice, bettering oneself or for "fun".

That is one of the most astounding things I've ever seen Grin Absolutely mind blowing Shock Seriously... just... wow...
Behold the wondrous return of Sheriff Pony!

Beautiful.

Seriously, that's really staggering. I always love looking at CGI shorts, but I've never seen anything on this scale of detail before. I mean, look at the textures, there's no blur or pixelation and I can't see any off-shaded triangles on the models. Editing and music added to the feel to it, truely sensational.

My Steam Avatar took 2 mins to render, but doesn't use any Final Gathering or any other illumination or HDR rendering software. My guess for his...years?

It touched me, but in a good way.

I not only watched the movie till the end, I also watched the behind the scenes and the break down movies after.

Its simply mind blowing. I can't think of anything else to say.

Rendering time? That all depends on how many computers he has. One computer to render all that would be mad, months I would guess if not years. If he had a farm of top spec machines than it might have been rendered within hours or even days, who knows. :X

One of the comments stated that the author took the year off to do this work. Couldn't find any more information. Doesn't help that the main website is down.
