My computer came with a front headphone, mic, 4 USB 2.0 and firewire jacks. It's a simple setup where I just plug wires onto a small card. Last night I managed to snap the heaphone jack hole...oops. Only trouble is I don't know what I'm searching for on Scan or Dabs - any help with finding a replacement? Ta. |

http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?...3789,50450 is in use by several of the community including me, very good/comfortable and recommended in one of the threads about mic sets. Fits into my front ports cause I have them but should be good for a set your rig is bound to have at the back. Because its combined you can switch your speakers of and get rid of that horrible background nose the likes of Vadoom inflict upon us. Edit: less posting after 6 pints for me from now on, my answer made sense then but not now i read your question again Edited by krakyn on 12-07-2008 14:42 |

No, my headsets fine - kind of. I mean the actual card for the front of the PC. I fished it out, it has earphone, mic, 4 usbs and a firewire connection. I just need the card.

naughty thats probably made by your case manufacturer, and would try them first This maybe a breakage that could be a pain in arse to fix, when you say broken or replace parts.. have you snapped wires or broken the mounting? saitek cyborg kb has 2 usb v2 connections, speaker & mic sockets builtin.http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpro...0Backlight but i have the speedlink medussa headset with a breakoutbox/amp so use this to route sound instead (simlar to fatality but better )http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpro...%20Edition |

Asus - thx for info so far. EDIT: I broke the actual hole the earphone jack sits in - too much angry fiddling to hear sound properly. I should add that this is from a Realtek HD board - so surely it's not just case based? The wires come from the soundboard and are pin based. Apparently it's quite well known with Realtek boards that if you plug headphones in the back they sound tinny. For some reason there is a different load between front and back jacks. Weird AND annoying. Edited by NaughtyMe on 12-07-2008 13:17 |

hmm - it's not the card that's broken - so if I can work out how to mount it with bluetac this might just work - ta Tinger. |
