gpu aftermarket cooling and sli
Don Pedro
i have 2 x 8800gts in sli on an asus p5n32 e sli mobo.
I have just purchased 2 x arctic cooling accelero S1 rev2 to go on each card.
http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.ph...hp?idx=147

the bloody sli flexi bridge cabel is now too short to go over the top of the cooling.
the sli flexi bridge is 12cm long(the longest i can find)
any ideas?
will chopping out a hole in the accelero to fit the sli cable through cause problems...?

maybe there are longer sli cables or sli slot height extenders around...cant find anything

also just got the thermalright extreme http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpro...M2/LGA775)
and the bottom is kinda convex rather than flat....

i wouldnt recommend doing anything with the accelero, although i cant see any problems, doing something like that could always be a bad thing.
seems like the only solution is finding a sli bridge that's a bit higher to get over the top of it.
id say you need a longer sli cable or a height extender.
Ill have a look and see what i can find.
nice kit btw.

sorted.
simply remove rubbish plastic clip-on bit on the top of the accelero cooler and the sli bridge cable now fits.

Gorilla, do you want to buy the aforementioned rubbish plastic clip-on thingy?

it looks shit and has no use whatsoever unless you like inserting sharp plastic clip-on thingies in your ass.......so whats your address?
